Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Who can apply for the Official Community Tool accreditation?

Only members of the Modern Endpoint Management LinkedIn Group are eligible to apply. If you’re not a member yet, please make sure to join the group before submitting your application.

Is it required that the tool/script/app has been posted in the group before?

It is not mandatory to have shared your tool in the group prior to applying, but tools already published and known within the community may receive stronger recognition and evaluation.

What types of contributions are eligible?

Eligible contributions include tools, applications, scripts, extensions, or similar resources that provide value in the field of endpoint management. These must be technically relevant and useful to the community (e.g., automation tools, remediation scripts, deployment helpers, etc.).

Are there any limits on how many tools someone can submit?

There is no limit. You may submit multiple tools or scripts, provided each one meets the eligibility requirements.

Do I need to be the sole creator of the tool?

You must be the original author or co-author. If the work was created in collaboration with others, all co-authors must be clearly credited in the submission form.

Are freemium or partially paid tools allowed?

No. Tools submitted must be completely free. We do not accept freemium models, trials, or any resource that includes hidden commercial strategies, paid upgrades, or future monetization plans. This program exclusively supports 100% free community tools.

What are the benefits of receiving this accreditation?

Recognized tools will receive a digital badge of quality, visibility in the group, potential featured posts, and official validation by trusted community experts in the endpoint management space.

Can I update the tool after receiving the accreditation?

Yes, updates are welcome as long as the tool remains free and respects the original values of the community. We encourage improvements and new versions to be shared openly.

How is the evaluation done?

Submissions are reviewed by a team of expert contributors based on quality, originality, usefulness, and alignment with community standards. The process is transparent, and each selected tool receives personalized feedback when needed.
